Today we worked on analyzing the Harry Potter film for elements of the school story. You used your charts. Mostly you did great work.

The KEY piece here, as it was with ASP, is to identify the QUEST.  Harry’s quest is one of self-knowledge, as Foster says all quests are.  His driving question? “Am I good or am I bad?” and his final answer?  “Yes.”

Libby: I wish I could go to Hogwarts.

Mrs. B: Really?

Shonay: No, I want to stay in public school, where the stairs don’t move.
