We’ll be working in the lab on Task 2 Today.
I’m going to start with some direct instruction related to:
- Using details from the text rather than lists to make your argument
- Including specific examples, closing the argument, building ethos/transitions
- Explaining things without using “insider” language
- Using chatty language and your situation notes (from #2 on your proposal) to help establish the tone of the letter, especially in the introduction. I’ll show you my sample letter, which I hope will help with this.
Just a reminder that you’re reading the first half of your YA School Story (LFA or FLB) for class tomorrow (or as close as you can get).
