Today we’ll start exploring a new pattern in literature called “Tragedy.” It’s predominantly a form of drama (plays). To help us with this, we need to have a story in common, so we’re going to start our work by looking at the story of Oedipus. First, we’ll watch it in vegetable form.
Then, I’ll re-tell it as it happens in the play OEDIPUS REX (trans: Oedipus the King) and we’ll use it as a sample of tragedy while we work through the intro to tragedy slides I’ve printed for you.
Hopefully we’ll also have a few minutes to continue reading “The Cheertastic Christmas Miracle.” 🙂
